HOW TO RECOVER MY GMAIL ACCOUNT ON ANOTHER CELL PHONE
TURN ON YOUR NEW CELL PHONE AND CONNECT TO THE INTERNET
Before taking any action, make sure your new phone has a charged battery and is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network or has mobile data enabled. Without internet, the recovery process will not be possible.
ACCESS THE ACCOUNTS AREA OR OPEN GMAIL
On Android phones, go to “Settings,” tap “Accounts” or “Users & accounts,” and then select “Add account.” Choose “Google.” On iPhone, you can use the Gmail app directly or go to “Settings” > “Mail” > “Accounts” > “Add account.”
ENTER YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS
Enter the Gmail address you want to recover. Make sure you type it correctly, and then tap “Next” to move forward with the process.
TAP “FORGOT PASSWORD?”
On the login screen, when prompted to enter your password, select the “Forgot your password?” option. This will begin the account recovery process.
FOLLOW GOOGLE VERIFICATION OPTIONS
The system will attempt to confirm your identity using previously registered methods: phone number, alternative email or trusted device. Choose the available method and follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
ENTER VERIFICATION CODE
If you chose to receive a code via SMS or email, please enter the code exactly as you received it. This is essential to confirm that you are the account owner.
CREATE A NEW PASSWORD
After verification, the system will allow you to create a new password for your account. Choose a strong password using uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols for added security.
CONFIRM NEW PASSWORD
Re-enter the new password to confirm that there were no errors. The password must match the previous one for the process to continue.
ACCESS COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY
Once this is done, the account will be linked to the new phone. You will be able to access your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, photos and other services normally, with all data synchronized.
REVIEW SECURITY SETTINGS (RECOMMENDED)
After recovering your account, go to your Google account settings and update your security options: add a new phone number, review your alternate email, and verify your connected devices. This will prevent future issues.
